Uni. is making me depressed
I'll be honest, I've had good weekends and parties but am not doing well in my course because I don't like it and I don't enjoy it. I can't imagine more years of the same. This should have been the time of my life but it is not.

Try to make most of what you have rather than being fragile over petty issues.

I am sorry to hear that mate... Sometimes when you go through your course you tend to wonder if this is the right thing for you.. often you will come across subject matter that you may feel is irrelevant and probably curb your enthusiasm towards the subject matter... but you have to remember this is an investment into your future...
In order to make the matter more enjoyable I would suggest Group study... That's what I did too... I know If you do work in groups there is the probability of fun and joke for the most time... But If you have some intellect in that group of yours you will pick up stuff faster... and I am sure you will
All The best man... keep you vision and keep true

The problem with group study is that I do not belong to any trust-worthy group at school LOL. Thankyou for the suggestions.

Leave me to my problems then and don't post here if you've got nothing to contribute.

Lack of Vibrancy
I think, the real issue that is causing such kind of feeling amongst many students and is also the one which we must be addressing is the 'lack of vibrancy' in the class. Lectures are really tedious and dry . . . We need more interaction in the classes, instead of showing us powerpoints, show us videos that are relevant to the subject. Take us to various practical platforms of the particular subjects to give us a better and practical understanding and perspective of the lectures.
Lecturers, all they do is speak and try to explain whats going on and thats it . . . And at times they even shoot words like "This is university, you're not gonna be spoon-fed anymore" . . .( WTH?!!!) I'm well aware that university studies require self-studying and determination . . . But that doesn't mean we must consider ourselves deprived from asking more than average questions. We are paying more to learn than Lecturers are paid to teach. They must realise they are responsible for educating and moulding the future!

How do you define 'more than average' questions?

What I meant by more than average number of questions is, as I observed at times . .. When some students ask many questions to the respective professors . .. The professors get aggy . . .

I agree with you to an extent but you got to also consider how students behave. I mean cmon i have seen professor's coming out of 3rd year's class (SML) frustrated because students were loud in the class. I am sure most of our faculty have loads and loads of experience to handle crowd etc but at the end of the day none is perfect. If we want something from them at times we need to take initiative as well
